How to Fake It as a Florida Panthers Superfan (and Laugh While You Do It)

Alright, let's get real. 

I’m a proud Miami native who’s lived here since I was four, but when it comes to hockey, I’ve been more of a tropical fish than an ice skater. 

I've only been to one Florida Panthers game in my life, and that was 28 years ago. 

Fast forward to 2024, and the Panthers are in the Stanley Cup Finals, beginning Saturday, June 8th, at home. 

Naturally, like many South Floridians, I’m jumping on the bandwagon faster than a snowbird fleeing a hurricane. 

So, here’s my attempt at a hilariously self-deprecating guide to diving headfirst into the Panthers' fandom, along with a lighthearted look at all of us newcomers hitching a ride on the hockey hype train.
